Illustrated children's storybook about a little girl named Rose who discovers that the man next door, whom she has always considered an ogre, is actually a nice but lonely old man. The book won the 1993 Children's Book Council of Australia Picture Book of the Year Award. The author/illustrator has previously won this award for both TCrusher in Coming' (1988) and TGreetings from Sandy Beach' (1991).
