Drum beats
Tonya is driving her teacher crazy. In Tonya's hands, pencils become drumsticks. Desktops become drums. She has talent and rhythm. She has a mother who doesn't think that girls should play drums. Finally, Tonya's music teacher convinces her to enter a drumming contest. She will be competing against boys who have been playing for years. But not all of them can make the drums talk and sing like Tonya can. Can her love of music triumph over their experience?
