People and their environment
Together with "People and their Needs", this book forms a series of two books providing a coherent course for GCSE geography with clearly explained concepts and geographical ideas. This title explores the interrelationships between people and their environment . Up to date case studies have been selected on a variety of scales from local to worldwide and there is ample scope for pupils to demonstrate their skills and justify their attidues, as well as their knowledge and understanding. Within each double page spread there are two groups of questions. There is a small number of "Quick Questions" and a larger group of questions headed "More to Do". The former are essentially recall questions from the text and figures. The latter enable more practice of skills and towards the end of the section test understanding. Most double page spreads provide some opportinity for pupils to express and justify their own attitudes or understand other people's.
