Text
Musical instruments
This picture information book introduces young children to a wide range of musical instruments, from familiar instruments that they themselves may play, e.g. the piano and violin, to unusual instruments played in ancient times or by peoples in other parts of the world, e.g. the Egyptian harp, Javanese gongs, and the Indian snake charmer's instrument. Each instrument is illustrated in full colour. A general description of the common characteristics of each of group of instruments is also provided. The book aims to inform and enthral children, and responds to their eagerness to learn about the world around them.
