Snow White and Rose Red
Once upon a time there was a poor widow who lived with her two daughters in a cottage at the edge of the woods. Two graceful rose trees grew in the garden in front of the house; one tree bore snow white blossoms, and the other bore red ones. The widow's two daughters were as pretty as the rose trees, so she named them Snow White and Rose Red. They were the sweetest and best children in the world, always diligent and always cheerful.
